Sugar Land police are looking for two men seen on surveillance video using a credit card stolen during a robbery in Sugar Land on Aug. 23.
Two women said they were in the parking lot at HEB, 530 Highway 6, just before 9:45 p.m. when two men grabbed them from behind and covered their faces. One of women was thrown to the ground, and her purse was taken.
At least two employees witnessed the attack and described the men as black males who were about 5 feet 10 inches tall. The men drove away in a dark passenger vehicle.
A credit card from the purse was used later that day to purchase merchandise at Walgreens, 107 West Rankin Road. A review of the store’s surveillance video shows two men using the stolen card and the same suspect vehicle seen at HEB. Sugar Land detectives believe they are the same men who robbed the women at HEB.
Anyone with information should call the Sugar Land Police Department at (281) 275-2540 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS (8477).
