Amazing Place opens 2nd campus in West Houston.

Non-profit Amazing Place opens the doors to its second campus with programs, many offered free of charge or at little cost, in English and Spanish for those diagnosed with mild to moderate dementia, family caregivers and anyone interested in brain health and memory preservation. Research now indicates that up to 40% of dementia cases are preventable by adapting healthy lifestyles early in life.

A dedication and ribbon cutting is on Wednesday at 10 am, at Amazing Place West, 621 Circle deMatel, 77094. A public open house to tour the campus and visit with brain health experts begins at 2 p.m.

Unique in what it provides, Amazing Place is setting the stage for the next chapter in brain health services for a growing aging Houston population. Executive Director Tracey Brown says, ”With our aging population expected to double in the next 25 years, our ability to multiply the number of individuals we serve has never been more critical. Amazing Place is at the forefront in collaborating with our community to provide resources, support and knowledge on how to navigate aging as productively as possible and with hope for what is possible.”
