Residents are upset after sewage spills into a creek in Sugar Land.

KTRK reports that after a power outage at a lift station, several thousand gallons of sewage spilled into Steep Bank Creek.

“Steep Bank Creek runs in between First Colony and Sweetwater neighborhoods and empties into the Brazos river.”

One resident stated that “this is the second time in the past three weeks that the sewage spilled into the creek.”

Sugar Land Public Works is taking corrective action and has reported the spill to the State of Texas.
