Our Public Works convoy has completed its inspection of the US59 northbound main lanes through Sugar Land. The northbound lanes are clear of ice and safe for travel. We are reopening the northbound main lanes.
Sugar Land is closing the main lanes of US59 in both directions through our city due to dangerous, icy conditions. If you don’t need to be out today, stay home until conditions improve. If you must travel, exercise extreme caution. TxDOT continues to treat highways. City crews are actively inspecting and treating Sugar Land roads and bridges.
