Sugar Land police are looking for a thief who smashed a window and entered a home in the 2700 block of Cotton Stock Drive on Nov. 23.
Video cameras showed a vehicle stop in front of the house at 6:45 p.m. A man wearing a Georgia Tech hoodie was seen ringing a doorbell. When no one answered, he walked to the backyard, smashed a backdoor window and entered the house carrying a bag.
A 14-year-old boy and his 15-year-old sister were home alone when the thief smashed the window, so they quickly ran to a closet, hid inside and called police.
Shortly after entering the home, the thief realized the house was occupied and quickly ran away. Nothing was taken.
Anyone with information should call the Sugar Land Police Department at (281) 275-2540 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS (8477).
